How To Create Fake Blood For Halloween Fun

Hey now, what’s a good Halloween outfit minus some awesome fake blood?  Everyone has seen never-ending horror movies filled with blood flying in every direction, but when you’re not on a film set, how can you make great looking, cheap fake blood for your own use at Halloween parties?  These are some strategies on making practical looking fake blood that’s safe to use by every age group.  Just Be aware- fake blood can stain! 

The fake blood recipe here is great for using as an element of a Halloween costume or makeup effect, but down to its viscous and messy nature, great care must be taken to make sure that everything in the house isn’t covered in fake blood!  Before you make any fake blood, first you may set up a well-covered work space on a smooth surface.  Lay down some old paper or similar covering to make sure you catch any splashes while making your gore. 

The easiest strategy of making fake blood for Halloween costumes is by mixing together corn syrup along with some red food colouring.  When delicately mixed together, adding more food colouring as you go along with it, this makes for a very convincing fake blood without a great deal of effort.  Add in a small amount of black food colouring, or even blue, to add that extra hue of fact to the fake blood you are making. 

A somewhat more sophisticated method of this fake blood recipe is to put in a thickener, for example an amount of plain flour or similar safe substance.  Keep on stirring till the required consistency is reached.  Be warned, this can lead to some lumps to be made, but these lumps are easily taken out. 

Another level of fake blood and horror could be achieved by adding wadded up paper towels or bathroom tissue to the mixture.  Just add a few, and while you mix the soft paper matter into your fake blood mixture, it’ll create all demeanour of gory looking globs and lengths of nastiness that would look fantastic as part of a Halloween outfit.  Just remember that when making your Fake blood- be safe and clean, and ensure you take important steps to keep the place clean whilst you create your fake blood and nastiness for that ultimate in Halloween horror!
